Dining

fort tryon center for rehabilitation and nursing's dining room
Fort Tryon Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is a Glatt Kosher facility. Our certified nutritionist and registered dietitian work to ensure meals are as nutritious as they are delicious…and they are tasty! In fact, they’re so good that our staff eat here! Each floor in the facility features its own dining room for the comfort and convenience of our residents. And since breaking bread together is such a special time for family bonding, we encourage family members to come share a meal with their loved ones on us. Our pantry is available as well, when resident’s would like a tasty snack between meals.

At Fort Tryon Center, we recognize that diet is one of the most important aspects of our resident’s life. We prepare gourmet meals using the freshest ingredients. Our highly trained chef talks regularly with residents to learn what menu items they would like to be served.

Kosher

We are certified Kosher by the Vaad Harabanim of Queens and have a mashgiach on premises daily. We always serve strictly Glatt Kosher meat. Our Chef prepares culturally Jewish cuisine for during Shabbos and Yom Tov Holidays.

Traditional Shabbos meals are served along with the regular traditional foods you are accustomed to back home. Every Saturday afternoon there is also an Oneg Shabbos.

On Passover, our facility becomes kosher for Passover, serving strictly non gebrochts and on Sukkos we build a huge, lovely suka on our beautiful terrace.

Hispanic Foods

At Fort Tryon Center, we serve cross-cultural Hispanic cuisine daily.
